Dimensions: 14-3/4" H x 10-7/8" Dia. Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Douqing glaze sgrafitto zun vase. Potted in a Zun shaped vase, thick and large, globular body, slighty oval body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent cylindrical neck, with wide thick flaring open lip, raised with short splayed foot base rim and slightly concave. The exterior hand painted ornamentations are rendered in douqing design color under glazed base color which contrast against pale-turquoise- pale green celadon under glazed ground, the green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human pale white skin. Meticulous finish sgrafitto wanzi motief, taotie mask and auspicious pattern. Monochrome glazed covers the delicate clay, showing silky smooth sheen and conforming the design. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. Mark on base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
