The Nephrite jade boulder is elaborately carved with a sage in prayer cave and seated with in it is a jade censer below the trees inside of a rocky outcrop among pine trees and shrubs growing out of the mountainous landscape scenery. A mountain is one of the essential Taoist ideals. A high mountain peak is where the Taoist takes in the air of heaven and encounter the constellations. The carving is superb in detail, smooth and expertly created deep three dimensional, with the appearance of capturing the essence of the soaring precipice and surrounding foliage. The Nephrite Jade has a lustrous tone, with grayish-pale-celadon iridescent and attractive sporadic golden russet inclusions, exquisite and detailed. The jade stone has clean tones, with pale-celadon iridescent and moist milky appearance. Gorgeously presented on a carved hardwood stand in a rocky outcrop and Lingzhi fungus motif.
