提要：“寒山诗”是唐代僧人、诗人号寒山子所作的诗。寒山诗被称为通俗诗、白话诗，但由于寒山诗表达上的特殊性，并非浅显易懂。或看似明白如话，实际上另有奥旨。寒山诗是中国古代诗国中的一枝奇葩，寒山诗长期流传于禅宗丛林，宋以后受到诗人文士的喜爱和摹拟，号称“寒山体”。近代以来风靡欧美和日本，形成世界范围内的“寒山诗热”。此本刊刻精整，首有甘尔翼刻书序，通篇写刻，流传极为稀见，原装品好。
