By Yoshinaga, signed Yoshinaga Japan, Kyoto, late 18th century, Edo period (1615-1868) Very finely carved as a recumbent ox with neatly incised fur and dark inlaid eyes, the rope halter elegantly curved over the back, with oval himotoshi that are characteristic of Yoshinaga. Signed YOSHINAGA to the underside. LENGTH 5.5 cm Condition: Very good condition with minor surface wear. Beautiful patina, worn in all the right places. Provenance: French private collection.
