Cambodia or Laos, 13th-15th century. Two plaques crafted from gold and one from gilt metal, all executed in repoussé, the smallest depicting Buddha seated in dhyanasana, the other two depicting Buddha standing, the right hand forming the abhaya mudra. The gilt metal plaque backed with paper. Provenance: Ex-Collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Condition: Good condition with some minor bending, a small tear to the gilt metal plaque, and minor traces of age and wear.
