Adelina Patti (1843-1919) was an Italian 19th-century opera singer, earning huge fees at the height of her career in the music capitals of Europe and America. She first sang in public as a child in 1851, and gaveher last performance before an audience in 1914. Jose Maria Mora was the most tactful and poetic of the late 19th-century theatricaland celebrity photographers in New York City. This Mora cabinet card has the gallery stamp at the bottom.
