A Coalport porcelain plate circa 1805-10 of lobed, circular form, centrally decorated by W. Fletcher Junior with a reclining lady on a chaise longue below a green canopy, gilded ribbon and swag border, artist signed ‘W. Fletcher’ in red, otherwise unmarked, 24cm diameter (some rubbing to gilding) Provenance: Ex. Rev. Blakeway-Phillips Collection. Previously purchased from Bill Dickenson. Notes: For similar examples by the same artist, see C.680-1935 at the V&A Museum and 1584-D4 at the NGV Museum in Australia. Condition report: There is one small chip to the foot rim, a further manufacturing flaw chip which has been glazed over to the foot rim and a glaze fault near the edge of the rim's underside. The gilding to the upper half of the plates border is rubbed, with further rubbing all around to the rim. There are also several scratches through the central painted scene. Please see images
