A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN CABINET PLATE, IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FACTORY, PERIOD OF PAVEL I, 1796-1801 rounded, the border of the plate with a floral motif of wild flower against a gilt ground, the center featuring the ruins of the Temple of Juno and the Church of Sant'Angelo Pescheria, with vine of laurel, the verso with the inscription Ruines du Temple de Junon, Aujourd, Eglise de St. Angel in Pescheria, in French, marked with factory mark in blue imperial cypher and date underglaze under base; diameter of plate: 24 cm (9 1/2 in.) CONDITION The plate appears in good original condition. Light surface scratches, most notably to the center image. Consistent with age and use. Inspection under UV shows no apparent signs of restoration or repairs. N.B. All lots are sold in as-is condition at the time of sale.
