|此杯其色棕黑，包浆厚实，光泽灿然，仅莲瓣杯的内外口沿处色显棕黄，无光泽。该杯的制作工艺一丝不苟，规整而严谨。除了杯外壁口沿处有一道边饰及杯内刻有佛像外，全为素工。然其线条挺拔犀利中见圆润，无论阳线或是阴线，如杯的口沿和底足。杯的内外平面处皆光洁圆润光可鉴人，图案花纹上可以探知该杯应不是中原地区的传统特色与风格。细审该杯的外壁和内壁，能看到明显的横向的粟米纹(也称鱼子纹)和纵向的像甘蔗一样的直线形纤维。
