Large statue of the praying four-armed Avalokiteshvara Buddha, composed of several parts. The Buddha sits with crossed legs on the separately carved lotus throne. The head and shoulder cloak are also separately carved. Fine old cast and chased work. Slight damage in places due to age: crack in the crook of the left arm, breakage of a decorative plate on the right cloak. Artistically impressive Tibetan bronze figure. The bottom closed with a bronze plate. Beautiful age patina. Height 55 cm. Provenance: From a South German private collection. Acquired before 1980 from Marcel Nies, Antwerp.Condition: II
