此炉精巧素雅，平口为敞，劲部略收，鼓腹豐腴，圆熟舒𣈱。收放谐佳，短而不矮，布局精凖，爐底垂弧，三足鼎立，其足似乳，荘严沉稳。其皮腊茶色，雪金满布，风雅古韻，撫之温潤。“宝鼎”二字篆书，鋳后修刻，款形方正，底平字峻，极为工整。铜质潤黄，坚密细腻，持之压手，清初时期铜炉多为此铜所铸，文房案頭陈设，可谓佳器。
