SINO - TIBETAN BRONZE STANDING AMIDA BUDDHA 18TH C., POSSIBLY EARLIER H 32.5" W 13" An early bronze in the manner of examples from the Heian period. Very fine casting that is, at a minimum, from the early 18th c.. Provenance: From the Estate of Cheryl Powers Carey, Lincoln Rd. Grosse Pointe, by inheritance from the estate of Josephine Sibley (750 Whittier, Grosse Pointe). Josephine Sibley was the daughter of the noted lumber baron, Frederick Sibley.
