古人一般在腰中革带上钉缀带銙，又称带。其选用的材料，因身份等级的不同而相异。明代洪武二十六年明确规定，文武官员的公服腰带：一品用玉，二品用犀，三品、四品用金，五品用银钑花，六品、七品用银，八品、九品用乌角。宋代玉器风格。 玉制带板从来都是最高等级的代表。明初定制，帝后礼服以及一品官员的朝服可使用钉缀玉銙的革带，即玉革带。在明以前，玉质带板更为稀有。 此组宋代风格玉带板更难能可贵，可遇不可求。
