A Chinese blue and white dish, Chenghua six-character mark but probably Kangxi Of plain round form and decorated with a scene of a messenger delivering a letter to a maiden at the entrance to her home, the rim with a diaper border inset with panels of peaches. 20.5cm dia. Condition report: Three small chips to the rim edge, one of which has an associate fine hairline.
