A Japanese carved hardwood tray, Meiji/Taisho period Of square form with rounded corners, well carved in low relief with a study of a flowering peony branch beside a vase with flowering magnolia, against a textured ground within a narrow key border, signed to a seal possibly 州西王 (Shou Seio) and the the reverse 光日名ホ (Hikari-bi-mei ho), 48cm x 46cm.
