E* De Labroue, a late 19th century gilt bronze ewer, in the style of Benvenuto Cellini, the wrythen neck above a putto riding a seahorse and a handle in the form of a satyr, the cylindrical body relief decorated with putti riding dolphins and blowing seashells, supported by three nereids, raised on a concave cornered square base, stamped 'E.De Labroue. Ft de bronzes. A Paris', 41cm high Footnote: Footnote: The fondeur E. De Labroue worked with some of the most eminent sculptors of the 19th century, reproducing important carved marble sculptures in bronze. See a cast bronze by Labroue of the famous white marble figure by Joseph-Michel-Ange Pollet entitled, titled Une heure de la nuit .
