The canvas is in plane with good tension. The paint layer is in a good condition overall. There is a network of vertical cracks across the painting which are stable. There is a large scratch in the paint layer at the upper right corner. The varnish is even and semi-matte. The original gilding on the frame has been covered with bronze paint and some of the corner sections are loose.
