woven with bats, the front and back panels each with an appliqued section embroidered with ladies in a garden against a couched gold thread background, the ruyi-headed wide cream silk border embroidered with small equestrian figures carrying bows and arrow, or pikes and hunting deer and rabbits with further tranquil scenes of pavilions amongst trees, the side pleats with blue and cream vertical ribbons embroidered with pavilions, birds and flowers and ending in ruyi pendants above butterflies, lined in grey silk and with a wide cotton band to the upper skirt edge with loop fastenings
