PROVENANCE: John Gorse (1945-2020) of Charleston, SC. A business entrepreneurs, private collectors. A retired as senior vice president for legal and regulatory affairs in 1981. After retirement he focused his efforts on revitalizing the local area and philanthropy. His entrepreneurial drive continually motivated him to privately invest in real estate ventures and many other businesses. In addition to his impressive business acumen, he was a man of artistic pursuits, collecting antiques, porcelains, oriental rugs, and artwork of many different genres. Dimensions: Height: 6.4 cm, Diam.: 11.5 cm Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Enamel Flowers Motif Porcelain Bowls on Carved Hardwood Stand. The bowls has an open mouth, rounded lip rim, thick, deep arced body, raised with round foot ring and slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in ruby red base color which contrast against Famille rose design color, depicted of variegate flowers blossom interspersed green foliage, all reserved in vivid tones color. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a four under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rectangles lines. Made in The Years Yongzheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
