A 19th/20th century Italian carved and painted wood lantern, probably a Venetian gondola lantern, with a crown form cover and of hexagonal form, with 6 tapering rectangular, glazed panels, raised on foliate supports, above a velvet covered mast section with a lappet carved terminal, 123cm long Condition report: Some restorations, including three branches of the crown, on the upper sections - re-glued/repaired and the foliate supports of the lantern. Re-painted. One glass panel detached/loose - needs fastening. Lacking some small elements, including some foliate ends on the base of the crown.
