题识：黄土地上的老人。二零零四年十月，于长安写一辈子在黄土地上耕耘的老农，黄土画派刘文西。 钤印：刘文西印 刘文西，1953年考入浙江美术学院中国画系，得潘天寿亲授，1958年毕业后执教于西安美术学院。曾任西安美院院长、延安市副市长、西安美术学院名誉院长、西安美院研究院院长，黄土画派艺术院院长，省文联副主席省美协副主席，陕西国画院名誉院长。享受政府特殊津贴。
