A VERY RARE LONGQUAN 'BAMBOO-NECK' VASE, XIANWENPINGH:28.8cm,W:14.5cm,Diam.of mouth:8.2cmsolidly potted, the pear-shaped vase rising from a short tapering foot to a tall cylindrical neck and wide galleried mouth rim, accentuated with a series of concentric raised fillets around the body and neck to resemble bamboo, covered overall with a bluish-green glaze thinning to white at the edges and around the carved decoration, the foot rim unglazed and burnt an orange color in the firing.
