A group of two bronze horse harness pendant comprising: a wheel-shaped pendant with eight openwork spokes and loops to the circumference, applied pellets and herringbone decoration; a pendant with collar and three leaf-shaped lobes, suspension loop to reverse. 48 grams total, 51-73mm (2 - 3"). From a private collection, Lancashire, UK; acquired on the UK art market; previously in an early 1990s London collection. The Amlash culture, also known as Marlik culture, is found in Northern Iran. This was one of the most distinctive Iranian cultures of the late second and early first millennia BC which had cultural contacts with the Assyrian Empire. [2, No Reserve]
