Dimensions: Height: 3.7cm, Diam: 21.2cm Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Yongzheng Doucai Longevity Peach porcelain plates. The plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded rim, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. The exterior hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against doucai design color, is outlined in under glaze blue and filled in with over glaze colored enamels except blue colors which fit together but also contrasting or joined colors. Depicted of Shou Chinese calligraphy with cranes bird on peach form medallion and covered with flowers bloom, foliage and ripe peach. The crane symbolizes longevity as well as wisdom. It is fabled that when a crane reaches 600 years old it no longer needs to eat. It stands as a homophone for he peace, harmony. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings lines, Made In The Years Yongzheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
