The company acquired notoriety and prestige, under the reign of King Louis XV, with Jean-Baptiste-Gaspard Odiot. In the first-quarter of the 19th century his grandson Jean-Baptiste-Claude Odiot, will turn the Odiot brand into the most prosperous French goldsmith's company and the most admired by the European courts of its time.
