Tang Dynasty Each spirited horse modelled in full gallop with a female polo player wearing a long close-fitting robe and raising her left hand and with the rein in her right hand, her head with thickly knotted hair slightly lowered to follow the course the ball, each face detailed with black, white and pink pigments, both horses painted in red and decorated with red dots on a white ground, stands. 35.9cm (14 1/8in) wide.
