A collection of hand-painted miniatures on mulberry(?) paper, each in a card frame, comprising: charging elephant attacked by two tigers with two mahouts and a (British?) advancing soldier with sword raised to strike; a bearded sage sitting on a tigerskin rug beneath a tree attended by two females with a ewer and bowl, Nastaliq script above; landscape with boat on a river in the background, standing female feeding two grazing deer, tree with turbaned male hiding, Nastaliq script above; courtyard scene with seated potentate flanked by courtiers, row of armed figures beneath, Nastaliq script above; courtyard scene with seated potentate above a pool with fountains, bird perching in a tree above. 74 grams total, 12-16cm (4 2/4 - 6 1/4").
