See Allen, S., Celtic Warrior 300BC-AD100, Oxford, 2001, p.31, for a similar head. 171 grams, 22.9cm (9"). Property of a Surrey, UK, gentleman; from collections formed before 1970. The Celtic warriors used light javelins for throwing and a heavier thrusting spear in close-quarters. Ash was a common wood for the shafts. [No Reserve] Condition Report Fair condition.
