9th-11th century AD. A large penannular bronze brooch with lentoid-section body, collars, carinated bulbous terminals and free-running tapering round-section pin; tapering round-section ring with coiled terminals with restrung(?) bronze annular and coiled tubular beads, dividing into two strands, each with a horse plaque pendant. 155 grams total, 24cm (9 1/2").
