A bronze cruciform brooch of small-long type, with rectangular headplate, T-shaped lateral plates, tapering bow; stamped circular motifs to the arms and footplate, chevron at the head of the bow, horizontal channels to the footplate, catchplate and ferrous accretion on the reverse; 'Lincs' written on the reverse. Cf. The British Museum, museum number 1964,0702.259, for similar. Published in 'Benets Artefacts of England & the UK', 3rd Edition, no.A07-0120, p.366. 20.1 grams, 67mm (2 1/2").
