A group of two bronze openwork belt fittings with griffin motifs, comprising: a rectangular-shaped fitting bearing a mythical beast facing left, two rivets and two rivet piercings to frame, two lugs to one edge; a bifacial rectangular fitting with one rounded side, bearing a mythical creature facing left, vertical opening for a strap. The Avar belt fittings of 8th century AD are often characterised by griffin-shaped bronze rectangular openwork plates, with the fantastic animals looking left, and an attachment loop in the lower part.
