A silver ring with D-section hoop, expanding at the shoulders to an oval-shaped bezel, shoulders engraved with pairs of stylised stars, the two innermost within an irregular rectangular frame, bezel engraved with a fleur-de-lis in a roundel bordered by chevrons with dashed ornament, plain border around the whole. 5.85 grams, 21.43mm overall, 18.50mm internal diameter (approximate size British P, USA 7 1/2, Europe 16.23, Japan 15) (1"). Property of an Essex gentleman; acquired on the UK art market; previously from an old English collection formed in the 1980s. Condition Report Fine condition.
