Italy, c.1450 AD. A mixed group of mainly vellum manuscript fragments: one group with a handwritten label reading '1933 Bible XVth century', a second note reading 'Fragments of MSS of the 14th century taken from bindings (for which they served as material on the dissolution of monasteries), the group including sides with musical notation, blocks of text and capitals highlighted in red and blue ink, variety of script types, including notes jotted in the margins; a second group composed of vellum and 'paper' fragments with dense columns of Latin(?) script. 33 grams total, 5.5-25.5cm (2 1/4 - 10").
