A gilt bronze buckle with rectangular plate formed as an openwork boss with regardant lion, its tail curled over its back, gilded surface and attachment rivet remaining to one corner; attached to the loop by an extension coiled over the rear edge; separate loop expanding towards the forward edge, ornamented with foliate designs; tongue formed as a flat sheet-metal spike.
