Qianlong seal mark, Qing dynasty, 19th/20th century The deep rounded sides rising from a stepped foot to a gently flaring rim, carved in high relief with a register of blossoming lotus scroll between a band of lappets below and a band of ruyi heads above, the scrolling lotus repeated in openwork on the cover beneath a band of classic scroll, the base and cover each carved with a six-character seal mark, the stone a whitish pale celadon tone. 6in (15.2cm) diam. 注脚 Provenance: Acquired in Hong Kong, circa the 1950s to 1960s Compare a celadon jade 'lotus' bowl and cover of the same design from the William Boyce Thompson Collection sold at Sotheby's, New York, 23 September 2020, lot 657.
