Late Qing dynasty/Republic period Modeled as two flattened baluster vases with the smaller one positioned in front of the larger, the smaller vase unadorned aside from openwork lingzhi-form handles at the neck, the larger with openwork flanges on the narrow sides and two beast-form handles at the neck each suspending a loose ring, an openwork chilong ascending from the rim of the smaller vase to the shoulder of the larger and emitting vapor from its mouth, the domed cover with a further openwork chilong, the stone an even cool white tone aside from the small gray passage used for the chilong's breath. 4 5/8in (11.7cm) high 注脚 Provenance: Acquired in Hong Kong, circa the 1950s to 1960s
