The dish: Guangxu mark and of the period; The box: Late Qing dynasty The first, a round dish painted with green-enameled dragons pursuing a flaming pearl against a puce-enameled ground, the exterior with polychrome floral scrolls, the foot with the six-character mark in underglaze blue; the second, a circular sweetmeats box and cover, the exterior of each enameled with lotus scrolls and bats against a blue ground, the interior of the box divided into five sections and painted with flowers. 9 1/4 (23.5cm); 5 1/2in (14cm) diam.
