底款：袁云龙制
此壶以精选紫泥为胎，胎色赭红，体型饱满挺秀，笠帽形盖，中部穹起，圆珠形钮，直流挺拔，风骨匀亭。整体造型优雅，皮殻润泽，包浆莹润，神彩动人，足堪宝玩。袁云龙，未见史载，惟据《阳羡砂壶图考》"披云楼藏'袁郁龙朱泥大壶'。一持制作敦朴，微现手捏痕迹，底钤"袁郁龙制"篆文方印，似康雍间物。"推测袁云龙郁龙两者为手足或宗亲，且依此器特征，断为十七世纪末制器应属可信。
