Eastern Wei dynasty (534-549) Well modelled and standing on a rectangular plinth, modelled with saddle with hanging tassels, with a rope across the chest from which floral ornaments are suspended, the saddle cloth with bosses, with headdress, the facial features painted in detail, with traces of reddish brown, ochre and greyish black pigments. H. 39 cm N.B.: The results of the accompanying Oxford Authentication Ltd thermoluminisce test, nr. C104t99 are consistent with the dating of this lot.
