Late Period- Ptolemaic Period, 664-30 BC. A fragmentary granite statue of Hor in falcon form, protecting the god Osiris; the god of the underworld depicted standing, wearing an Atef crown of Upper Egypt with urae to the front, holding a crook and flail in his crossed arms; inked collection number '80' to one side of the base. See Valbelle, D., Le faucon et le roi', in L'Impero ramesside. Convegno internazionale in onore di Sergio Donadoni, Rome, 1977. 4 kg, 17.5cm (7"). Family collection since at least the early 1970s.
