9th century AD. A glass beaker with a tapering cylindrical profile, lozenges and inverted tears in pinched technique around the body, iridescent surfaces. This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is apanied by AIAD certificate number no.11114-183977. The decorative motifs on such vessels were added with an instrument resembling a pair of tongues, possibly blown in a dip mould.
