(640) Chinese Bowl and Teak standDimensions: Width: 16cm, Height: 17cmChinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Blue and White Dragon Porcelain High Bowl On Carved Hardwood Stand. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick, flaring rim with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the close mouth rim, raised on high foot bowl, also known as Ba Wan, date back to Yuan Dynasty. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. Blue and white porcelain in Chinese it is called Qing Hua Ci. It is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Yuan Dynasty. Its color does not easily fade and durability is longer.On The Upper Mouth bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Xuande Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
