A Chinese Blue and White and Pale Celadon Glazed 'Dragon and Phoenix' Tripod CenserLate Ming-Early Qing DynastyDecorated on the exterior with a vibrant five clawed dragon on one side and a phoenix on the other and interspersed with fiery brands all in underglaze blue, a double band of underglaze blue below the everted mouth rim, another band encircling the base, the censer sitting on three short, molded legs, the interior glazed for a short distance into the censer, the balance of the interior, the base and the bottom of the legs exposing the unglazed biscuit.
