A Chinese Enameled Porcelain 'Lingzhi' BowlDaoguang PeriodOn a white glazed background, painted in lime green and yellow enamels to show clumps of standing delicate thin leaves, intertwining with a flowering plant with four leaves and blooms, a lingzhi mushroom in light aubergine growing from each clump, a small floral of the flowering plant in the inside of the bowl, a symbol of a lingzhi in red on the base, the mouth rim with gilt. Diameter 6 3/4 inches. Note:In Chinese art the lingzhi represents long life and well-being. It is unusual to find this decoration on a Daoguang period bowl.
