Chinese porcelain celadon glazed Hu jar, Han dynasty (206 BC-220AD); Glazed Vase, with a spreading cylindrical neck, above a squat baluster body with central ribbed border, on a circular foot, in a mottled green luster glaze; Natural incrustations and microscopic glaze loss dots all over, beautiful crystal depositions on the bottom, possible of marine origin (shipwreck?). Height: 6.9 inches = 17.5 cm; Width: 5.5 inches =14 cm; Base diameter: 3.25 inches = 8.3 cm; Weight: 1 lb. 6.4 oz. = 634 g Condition: Bottom is unglazed, 3 small superficial glaze loss (or chips) on upper edge mouth (see photos) biggest - 14 mm, no other defects; Provenance: private collection in Illinois, USA, and then Auction in Chicago, IL, USA; References: Allen’s authentication of Ancient Chinese ceramics, Anthony J.
