Watercolor Housed in a wood frame, matted under glass Signed lower right “S.P. Hodgdon.” and titled and dated lower left “Nantucket 90.”, label affixed to verso inscribed “Wawinnet Inn” Note: Built in 1875, the Wawinnet Inn (alternate spelling Wauwinet) is nestled on the northeast shore of Nantucket beside the Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Refuge. The inn was named after the Chief of the Indian tribe that inhabited the eastern section of the island SIZE: 11-1/4″ x 19-1/4″. Overall: 19-1/2″ x 27-1/2″.
