A GROUP OF EMBROIDERED COURT AND IMPERIAL ACCESSORIES 19th century (6)A GROUP OF EMBROIDERED COURT AND IMPERIAL ACCESSORIES19th century Comprising of two noblewoman's kerchiefs, the first red embroidered with multicoloured beads depicting a prunus branch issuing from a jagged rock, all on a coral-red ground, 78cm (30 6/8in) long; the second silk applique' with two vases bearing flowering prunus and peony branches between a colourful butterfly and a ruyi lappet, all on a bright blue ground, 78cm (30 6/8in) long; two unmade Imperial silk purses, each half worked in gold and blue threads with Yanyan and Shou characters, 11.5cm (4 1/2in) wide; a silk robe cuff for a Manchu noblewoman's robe, finely embroidered with colourful butterflies fluttering amidst narcissus, flowering peonies and wannianqing flowers, 60cm (23 5/8in) wide; two unmade yellow and cream-ground kesi uncut facings for a small dragon robe, each type comprising of a pair of robe cuffs, a collar and with side edgings on original yellow loom rectangular selvage, the largest panel 71cm (28in) wide.
