QING DYNASTY OR LATEROne side inscribed in Chinese reading zhai jie, the other side with the Manchu characters bolgomi karga, each panel within a border of scrolling blossoms on a lime-green ground, 6.5cm.Provenance: from a private collection, London, mostly acquired in the 1980s and 1990s.The characters on both sides mean 'to fast'.
