A painted scene of a nobleman's court with male and female figures seated in a canopied enclosure on a dais with attendants in the courtyard below, torchbearer in the meadow beyond the fence; small panels of nasta'liq text in the corners and on the building; mounted in a glazed wooden frame. 1.3 kg, 47.7 x 37.7 cm (18 3/4 x 14 3/4 in.) Acquired on the UK art market, 1980s-1990s. The Woodbridge collection of Indo-Persian art.Condition Report: Very fine condition.
