UK private collection before 2000. UK art market. Property of a London gentleman. Female attire in the Urnfield culture of central-east Europe was primarily characterised by circlet-shaped jewellery (torcs, armlets, hair-rings and earrings), which appeared in three different sets, while the fourthbination of grave goods was heterogeneous. In Dobova (Slovenia) a hoard containing several torcs was found. Several women with this set had even richer attire with fibulae, bronze spiral wires, circlets, and sewing kits (needle, knife and spindle).Condition Report: Fine condition.
